2 steps Homemade Satay sauce recipe

This creamy and sweet homemade Satay sauce is one of the Asian sauces that are delicious, easy to make at home.
With just a few ingredients and very quick to prepare will champion your dinner without stressing you much.

2 steps homemade satay sauce is very simple.

First, put all the ingredients together reserving the peanut butter and the honey till the end, and bring it to a gentle boil.

You can also add some finely chop ginger if you like extra kick.

Second, add the peanut butter and the honey, taste and add salt if necessary. Simmer for a few more minutes until it gets the right consistency, you don’t want it too runny or too thick.

That’s all!!

This sauce recipe is breastfeeding friendly.

Ingredients

2 tbsp peanut butter
250ml cream
250ml coconut cream/milk
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 clove garlic finely minced
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp curry paste and ginger (optional)
1 tbsp honey or sweetener of your choice
Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Leaving the peanut butter and the honey to the end, In a medium-size pot put all the ingredients together and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the peanut butter and the honey, stirring a little bit and simmer in low heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Taste and add salt if necessary, depending on how salty the soy sauce is.
  4. Let it rest if using later or pour on top of the vegetables if using right away.

Suggestion for serving.

There are a few suggestions to use this satay sauce with, here there are a few examples:
Chicken and vegetable satay with rice.
Tofu and vegetable satay.
Grilled tofu/prawns with satay sauce.
Grilled chicken with satay sauce
